This is wonderful, I could already see where I get stuck in the creative loop. I would love to test your app and provide my experience and breakthroughs.
Only got to Stage 1 but had to stop and comment real quick - I do this!!! I didn't realize it or think of it in terms of my own creativity until I read this. When something (music mostly, but could apply to pretty much anything) grabs me I start to think "what exactly is it about this that's capturing my attention" - the poly rhythms of LCD Soundsystem or the harmonic progression of a Nick Johnston composition, for example - I want to incorporate these things into my own work.
Then, I'll often try to replicate it as precisely as possible - peek behind the curtain.
That’s awesome to hear. It was a similar experience for me. I was doing these practices but unconsciously, with out much awareness or big picture thinking.
But I feel it made all the difference when I became aware of it because I could use more to my advantage to shape my sound or at least organize my sessions more strategically.
where to find the app?
